God Can’t Be Silenced!

No one and nothing can silence the voice of God. Threatening God’s people, throwing them in prisons or a blazing furnace, sending them into exile, stoning them, scorning them, selling them to slave traders, cheating and lying on them, etc., nothing can silence His voice. The ten spies didn’t change the voice of God calling His people to their Canaan. Wickedness doesn’t drown out the voice of God. There is nothing that renders God’s voice ineffective, unheard, or irrelevant.

The devil does secure volunteers willing to try and silence God and/or His people. Pharoah attempted to hold the Israelites hostage after Moses told him to let God’s people go. King Herod tried to kill Jesus as an infant. Balak tried to have Balaam curse the Israelites. Ahab and Jezebel tried to silence God by killing His prophets. Jezebel threatened to kill the prophet Elijah, but God spared him and reignited his resolve to finish the job God called him to do. The ultimate attempt to silence Jesus was when He was crucified. But, again, no one and nothing can silence God! He permitted the process to bring about His purpose of being the perfect sacrifice for mankind. And, as He planned, on the third day, He Rose from the dead!

So, whoever is proclaiming victory and declaring their words/actions have permanently silenced God, and His purposes is wrong!

The Lord will always have the last say in His time and way! He is the ultimate authority, and He will not be silenced! He may not respond right away, but we can rest assured that He’s not quiet because He’s been rendered helpless. That is comforting, saints! The same God that spoke the world into existence is the same One that is in control today. Many things appear chaotic in this world, but God has never lost His voice or authority!

Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father. John 10:17-18 (KJV)

Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire. The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory. Psalm 29:1-9 (KJV)

And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand; Genesis 4:3-11 (KJV)

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 11:28-29 (KJV)
