It’s Not Too Late for the Lord to Work.

It’s not too late for the Lord to work. That’s what hit my heart tonight as I was rushing about getting ready to end the day. I’d just walked in the door from a long and busy day.  It wasn’t bad a day, just very busy. I’m ready to call this day done, but I felt I needed to get this out now. Of course, I would have preferred the Lord speak to me when the day was young, I was fresh and time was abundant. But that’s not what the Lord had in mind. So, here I am tonight, pressed with the reminder it’s not too late for the Lord to work.

I know you already know this, but just as the Lord nudged my heart, I’m passing it on. In our environment of “It’s too late,” it’s never too late for the Lord to work.  My heart fell on the disciples being instructed to sit 5,000 people down to eat. They tried to convince Jesus that the best thing to do was to convince the people to leave and fend for themselves. Their environment consisted of thousands of hungry people and no possible way to feed them all. Or so they thought.

You don’t know what God is going to do in the environment!  Stop telling Him what He can and can’t do in a situation. Stop telling Him how things have to happen in order for it to be designated as “alright.” The Lord isn’t confined by the environment nor the mental block you have about how the circumstances should be addressed. Your way isn’t God’s way anyway!!

He knows you see things as washed up. You’ve done all you can and He knows you tried to prevent the environment from getting to this point and He knows you’re tired. Yeah, it’s late from our viewpoint, but from the Lord’s standpoint, it’s not too late for Him to work!

14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. (Psalm 27:14 KJV)

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 KJV)

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:28-29 (KJV)
