Your Life’s Script

Wouldn’t it be wonderful to know what is in store for you in life? You could dodge the potholes, take a detour from the hard stuff, and take an extended tour through the scenic routes of life. But we all know that’s not possible. Boy, we would be some lopsided people.

God always makes sure we’re balanced. I’m thankful that for every hardship I’m faced with, God has a reason for it. I may not see the reason or even appreciate God’s reason at the moment. But I trust Him, knowing He has numerous purposes for including good and bad seasons in my life. The enemy of your soul wants you to levy fault against God for the bad seasons in your life. Like God didn’t know that the script would include some rain-filled days.

The Israelites cried bitter tears for 400 years to get out from the heavy hand of Egypt. When God did move (and miraculously at that) and they stood in the wilderness, (which they knew was a time of transition) they still were angry with God and Moses for their season of wilderness living. A whole generation of people died because they refused to trust the Lord with the script, but what about you and I? Have you decided that the script has to be wrong, and if Jesus loved you, He wouldn’t let the script read this way?

I’m just stopping by to remind you that whatever state you find yourself in, realize that it’s no surprise to God, and He knew what was in your script before you were born. He’s given you what you need to get through this horrific scene. Lean on the One who wrote the script, Jesus!

This sounds so simple, but it takes everything you have to trust the Lord when you don’t know what’s happening. Trust takes all of your strength to look at your scene, see nothing that makes sense, and still Trust. I know there’s a lot of praying, crying, seeking, standing, and meditating on God’s word to get through. I know you didn’t choose this nightmare adventure, but if it’s in your script, then with Jesus, You will get through it!!

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV)

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:13 (KJV)

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Matthew 11:28-29 (KJV)
